FIRST EVER RETROSPECTIVE OF THE WORK OF ARTIST VICTOR TROUTMAN ANNOUNCED


The estate of internationally-acclaimed painter Victor L. Troutman announced today that over 50 of his works will be loaned to the Jeffersonville Township Public Library for the first retrospective of his work ever shown to the public.

“PILGRIM OF TIME: the passion and paintings of Victor Troutman” will be on display at the Library from October 13th to November 10th, 2018.  The Jeffersonville Township Public Library is located at 211 E Court Ave, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.

Opening Reception:

An opening reception—which will include refreshments, a remembrance of Victor Troutman, and live music and poetry performance by Ron Whitehead and The Storm Generation Band—will be held at the Jeffersonville Township Public Library on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 6-8pm in the second floor Art Gallery. This event is free and open to the public.

Closing Reception:

A closing reception will be held at the Jeffersonville Township Public Library on Saturday November 10th from 2-4pm in the North Program Room and second floor Art Gallery. At 2pm, a distinguished panel of guest speakers will lead a special discussion entitled “Naked Women & Naughty Words: Censorship & Self-Censorship in Public Art” and additional paintings by Victor will be shown at that time. From 3-4pm, refreshments will be served and guests may visit Victor Troutman’s work throughout the Library. This event is free and open to the public.
